Explore all that Taranaki has to offer. A vibrant mix of the fun and adventure of travelling on the Rail Carts from Stratford to the Republic of Whangamomona to historical discovery of New Plymouth and its surrounds.
On our day at leisure in New Plymouth we can experience the diversity of the area with the stunning gardens at Pukekura Park and dining at The Vineyard Bistro @ Okurukuru overlooking the Sugar Loaf Islands. The following day we head south to Hawera to the see the amazing exhibits at Tawhiti Museum and drift in boats through the eerie world of Traders & Whalers. KD’s Elvis Museum is also on offer before visiting Egmont National Park for lunch at Stratford Mountain House.
The return trip to New Plymouth includes a visit to Hillsborough’s Car Museum. On the last day in New Plymouth Puke Ariki’s experienced guides will bring the history to life as you enjoy an easy stroll around the CBD, taking in key landmarks, places and moments from the past. We then travel via Whanganui to Chateau Tongariro for our final night before our journey back to Bay of Plenty.

Deposit of $300 per person is required within 3 business days of registration. A further deposit of $500.00 per person is due by Tuesday 30 June, 2020. The remaining balance of the tour is required by Thursday 27 August 2020. Pricing is valid based on 40 passengers, should the final number fall below the required number the tour will be repriced. All payments are to be made by Cash, Cheque, EFTPOS, Direct Internet Banking or credit card. Credit Card payment will incur a 2.5% surcharge for Visa or MasterCard and 3% for Amex and Q Card. A FULL & COMPREHENSIVE Travel Insurance policy must be purchased at the time of paying your deposit. If unforeseen circumstances beyond our control require us to make necessary changes to your holiday, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule departures and itineraries. When it is necessary to change a hotel or restaurant the company reserves the right to substitute accommodation or restaurant of at least a similar standard. It is our policy to try to present true costs of our holiday inclusive of all levies and surcharges. Please accept however that these taxes and levies are not within our control, therefore if a new tax, levy or surcharge is to be introduced or increased, we reserve the right to pass on any increase in cost.
